Greek Chicken Tacos: Taco Tuesday Just Got a Greek Upgrade 🇬🇷🌮

Greek Chicken Tacos: Taco Tuesday Just Got a Greek Upgrade 🇬🇷🌮

Who says tacos have to stay in one country?

We love authentic Greek food, but we also love having a little fun in the kitchen. These Greek Chicken Tacos bring together the fresh, vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean in a meal that's easy enough for a weeknight but impressive enough to serve friends.

Juicy lemon-herb chicken, crisp vegetables, creamy feta, a cool tzatziki drizzle, and the finishing touch—a generous drizzle of Asteri Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a sprinkle of Asteri Greek Salad Blend. The result? A taco that's fresh, flavorful, and guaranteed to disappear fast.

One little twist made all the difference: a squeeze of fresh lime just before serving. It brightens every bite and ties all the flavors together beautifully.

Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 1½ lbs boneless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 3 tablespoons Asteri Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Asteri Greek Salad Blend
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

For the Tacos

  • 8 small flour tortillas or soft pita-style tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup diced cucumber
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • ¼ cup thinly sliced red onion
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • Sliced Kalamata olives (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or dill
  • Lime wedges

Quick Lemon Herb Drizzle

  • ¼ cup Asteri Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • ½ teaspoon Asteri Greek Salad Blend
  • Pinch of dried oregano

Whisk together until combined.

Optional

  • Tzatziki sauce for topping

Directions

1. Marinate the Chicken

Combine the chicken with the Asteri Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Asteri Greek Salad Blend, lemon juice, and garlic. Marinate for at least 30 minutes—or overnight for even more flavor.

2. Cook

Grill or pan-sear the chicken over medium-high heat until lightly charred and cooked through. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

3. Warm the Tortillas

Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or directly over a gas flame for just a few seconds until soft and slightly toasted.

4. Build Your Tacos

Layer the lettuce, sliced chicken, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, feta, olives, and fresh herbs.

Top with tzatziki if using.

5. Finish Like a Greek

Drizzle generously with the Lemon Herb Drizzle.

Sprinkle with one final pinch of Asteri Greek Salad Blend.

Finish with a squeeze of fresh lime.

Asteri's Tip 💡

Don't use all of your olive oil during cooking.

The final drizzle of Asteri Extra Virgin Olive Oil right before serving adds incredible freshness, brings out the herbs, and gives every bite that unmistakable Mediterranean flavor.
